Bio: Philipp Reisner is both the CEO and one of the founders of LINBIT. He holds an MSc in Computer Science from TU-Wien, Austria. While graduating from that University, he initiated the DRBD® open source project, which is one of the technologies commercialized by LINBIT. He speaks at Linux and Open Source events occasionally and is an active contributor to the Linux kernel.
Role: LINSTOR Developer
Bio: Rene was one of the first developers to oversee a DRBD resource deployed by LINSTOR, and has been a Software Developer at LINBIT since 2017. When not squashing bugs in LINSTOR, Rene is either climbing or paragliding down a mountain.
Bio: Gabor Hernadi is a MSc Software Engineer with more than 18 years of experience in coding. He started with C/C++ in the earlier days of his journey and now specializes in Java. He has been part of the LINSTOR development since 2017. He enjoys using his skills to contribute to the exciting technological advances that happen every day at LINBIT.
Role: Solution Architect
Bio: Yusuf Yildiz is a Solutions Architect at LINBIT with extensive, hands-on experience. Based on his experience in the field, he is able to find the most suitable solutions for both companies and individuals. He also works as part of the technical steering committee and in the architectural work group within the SODA Foundation, a subsidiary of the Linux Foundation.
LINBIT USA, LLC
Bio: Brian Hellman is COO of LINBIT and co-founder of the US team. A self-proclaimed (but also by definition) nerd in general, he is happiest with and around anything open source. His love for the open source community started in 1998 with RH5, and continued to grow throughout the years. In his free time, he lives for his family, his Harley, participating in the Masonic lodge and tinkering around with computers. Though, if you ask his team members, they will say he is pretty good at being a “Mr. Fix It” as well.
Bio: Giles Sirett is a CEO & Founder of ShapeBlue, the leading independent CloudStack integrator. He has held C-Level technology positions for 15 years, worked with many high-profile organisations, helping them strategise, design and implement CloudStack-based clouds. Giles is an active contributor to the Apache CloudStack project, a committer and PMC member of the Apache CloudStack project and Chairman of the European CloudStack User Group.
Role: Cloud Architect
Bio: Andrija Panic is a Cloud Architect at ShapeBlue and Apache CloudStack PMC Member. He has a long-term experience with CloudStack and is a senior cloud and system engineer, with a focus on cloud and software-defined solutions (CloudStack, software-defined storage, software-defined networking, etc.) and vast expertise in complex web solutions and IT infrastructure in general.
Before joining ShapeBlue, he was working as a Cloud System Engineer for two different Swiss-based Public Cloud providers, both utilizing CloudStack to provide IaaS services for local (Swiss) and international customers – many of which were financial institutions and enterprises.
Role: Technical Solutions Specialist
Bio: Experienced, highly-driven multi-lingual Enterprise Storage Solution Specialist. Breadth and depth of experience across a variety of technical and customer-facing sales roles. Working for a world leading Technology Company. Has earned a strong reputation on Storage and Recovery, focusing on Intel’s architecture implementations within datacentres. Roles have varied from technical pre-sales to consultancy, as well as delivering keynote presentations and technical training to blue-chip customers worldwide. Consistently recognised for exceeding customer expectations.
